This simple, sweet cherry sauce pairs wonderfully with roasted meat or game. Serve it on pork chops, ham steaks, roast duck, etc.

1/3 cup cherry juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup frozen unsweetened tart cherries, thawed and well drained
3/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
Combine the cherry juice and cornstarch in a saucepan and whisk to combine over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened.
Stir in the cherries, maple syrup, and grated orange peel. Cook, stirring frequently, until heated through.
Serve warm over roasted meat such as pork, turkey, or ham.
