Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

This multi-purpose, so-simple-to-make cinnamon butter is a must-have to keep on hand. Use it as a spread on toast or muffins, as a topping on pancakes, or a quick filling for cinnamon rolls.

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups superfine sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Combine the butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy and the sugar is fully incorporated.
Spoon the cinnamon butter into a container and store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.

Try this with powdered sugar for a less gritty result! And cut the cinnamon in half until you taste it then add more if you wish.

The texture was a bit gritty from all the sugar. It would be best used as a filling when making cinnamon rolls from scratch. I was looking for a recipe for cinnamon butter they serve at Texas Roadhouse and I found that if you add 2Tbspoons of this recipe with 1 stick of butter or margerine it turns out pretty good. On its own its a bit overpowering. I personally thing the butter should be doubled, while the sugar and cinnamon should be cut in half.
