This was my first time to make apple butter. It was very easy. I did adjust the sugar; 4 cups seemed a little sweet, but 2 cups was not enough to caramelize. 3 cups worked well. I also put a little ginger in there as well (about 1/8 - 1/4 tsp). I season to taste, so there may have been a little more cinnamon in there! It has been a hit with all who have tried it!
