Way too much clove! Start with 1/2 teaspoon. It is incredibly overpowering!!!

I used canned peaches that I drained really well (the kind in light juice not syrup). It turned out very good. I think it might have been a little more runny because of the canned peaches so I cooked it an extra hour uncovered and I think that helped.

This is the first recipe that had the spices I wanted. I just wanted to make a small batch to try so I quartered the recipe. I love the spice combination. To me that is fruit butter.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
