ingredients
2/3 cup butter
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup white flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
directions
Melt chocolate with butter with a double boiler or microwave oven. Let cool.
Beat eggs until foamy. Gradually beat sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder in by hand. Sift flour with cornmeal and fold in gradually by hand. Fold chocolate in by hand. Before completely mixed, add peanuts.
Turn into a greased cake pan and bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool before cutting.
