ingredients
1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
6 slices ham
6 slices mozzarella cheese
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
directions
Mix the ground beef, all the spices, eggs, milk, bread crumbs, parsley and Parmesan cheese together in a bowl.
On waxed paper flatten out the mixture to a 1/2 inch thick square about 12 inch long. Cover with ham and cheese slices. Roll-up like a jelly roll.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Separate crescent roll dough into 4 parts. Wrap the sides and top of meat roll with dough.
Place a wire rack on a cookie sheet and put meatloaf on the rack (to keep pastry from becoming soggy with drippings).
Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. If pastry becomes too brown cover with aluminum foil loosely. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
