ingredients
4 cups cooked wild rice
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound ground beef
directions
Combine first nine ingredients in a large bowl; crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Firmly press into a greased 9-in. x 5-in. x 3-in. loaf pan.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 70 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F. Cover with foil during the last 15 minutes if the top is browning too quickly.
