Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

tried it and it was ok, nothing great... especially since ketchup is new in the world of cooking, I use another recipe that combines venison wild boar, and buffalo (basically any meats that are hunted) with a rice centre (nuts and berries mixed in), and a sauce of wine oxtail reduction with 2 cups of wild forest mushrooms, It basically gives a rich meatloaf without the game taste in an amazing tradition French reduction.... all things that have been around for hundreds of years, unlike ketchup
Actually, ketchup has been around since the 1600's. It originated in China. Tomato ketchup (which is what we most frequently use in recipes calling for ketchup) dates back to the early 1800's.
