ingredients
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon instant minced onion
2 slightly beaten eggs
1 tablespoon snipped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup soft bread crumbs
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 jar (16 ounce size) sweet & sour sauce (not all is used)
directions
In large mixing bowl, blend gravy mix and milk. Add onion and let stand a few minutes. Add eggs, parsley, soy sauce, salt, and pepper; stir in bread crumbs. Add beef; mix well. (Use hands.)
Shape into 2 loaves and place in shallow baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes. Spoon off excess fat, pour some sweet and sour sauce over loaves. Return to oven for 15 minutes.
