ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup pureed onion
2 tablespoons chopped carrot
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
4 teaspoons granulated chicken bouillon
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 egg
1 1/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs, SOAKED IN
2 tablespoons milk
6 tablespoons ketchup (optional for glaze or meatloaf)
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, break up the ground beef with hands. Add pureed onion, carrot, parsley, bouillon, pepper, garlic, egg and milk-soaked breadcrumbs. Add ketchup to the mixture, if using.
Gently mix well with hands and shape mixture into a loaf shape. Spray a Pyrex or metal loaf pan with nonstick spray. Press meat into pan.
If using the ketchup as a glaze, make a shallow depression down the center lengthwise; pour the ketchup into the depression.
