7-Up Meat Loaf
- add review
- #78670
ingredients
3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 bottle (7 ounce size) 7-up
2 pounds ground beef
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons dried dill weed
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the bread crumbs and 7-up in a bowl and let soak until the bread crumbs have softened and absorbed as much of the liquid as they can.
Add the ground beef, beaten eggs, onion, garlic, salt, and dill to the bowl and mix completely but do not overwork the meat.
Place the meatloaf mixture into a large loaf pan or 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Brush the top of the meatloaf with the Worcestershire sauce.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until done in the middle (time may depend on the shape of the pan you use).
Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before cutting into serving pieces.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Delicious! The only downside was that the meatloaf didn't really hold together when sliced, but that's ok - it tasted fabulous!
