ingredients

1 1/2 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (16 ounce size) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (10.75 ounce size) tomato soup
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

directions

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and onion and cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is cooked. Drain off any excess grease.

Add the beef mixture to the crock pot. Stir in the potatoes, garlic, and kidney beans. Pour the soup over the top (do not stir). Sprinkle the soup layer with salt and pepper.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or until the potatoes are tender.

Stir gently then serve hot.

  1. Walt G REVIEW:

This was listed as John Wayne stew for crock pot. The red beans add a lot to it and must be from his wife Palar from Argentina

  2. Sofakitty REVIEW:

This was a pretty good meal. I had to tweak it a bit. Once it was finished I added msg, little salt and pepper, and some cheese and sour cream. Very tasty then.
