Beef Caper Patties

ingredients
1 large egg
1 pound ground beef
1 slice bread, torn in small pieces
1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons capers, drained
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup steak sauce (optional)
directions
Preheat broiler. Spray broiler pan and rack with non-stick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, beat egg. Add beef, bread, onion, capers, mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and mix well. Shape into 3-inch patties.
Place on broiler rack. Broil 6 inches from heat source for 10 minutes for medium or until desired doneness. (It is not necessary to turn burgers over during cooking.)
Serve with steak sauce.
