Cut the carbs with this tasty crustless quiche

6 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1 small white onion
1/2 pound breakfast sausage
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped (plus additional for garnish if desired)
Saute sausage, onione and peppers until sausage is cooked and peppers soft. Whisk eggs and cream and spices together. Fold in basil, sausage and peppers.
Lightly grease 8-inch Pyrex or glass casserole pan. Pour egg mixture into pan and bake at 350 degrees F 20 minutes or until set.
Cut into wedges and serve with additional basil if desired.

This is a really good recipe but there isn't anything "outstanding" about it so I'm giving it a 4-star rating. The recipe should be fairly flexible if you want to change the type of sausage or veggies.
