The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Don't let the ingredient list fool you. The French dressing and cream cheese combo makes an addicting dip for celery and carrots.

1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup French salad dressing
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons finely chopped onion
Place the cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Mix on medium speed with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
With the mixer running, add the remaining ingredients. Beat well until the ingredients are blended.
Serve immediately with vegetables or chips for dipping. Store leftovers in the refrigerator in a covered container. Let come to room temperature before serving.

This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
