Sirloin Steak Monte Carlo

ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 3/4 pound sirloin steak
1/2 cup sliced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup pine nuts
1 can (14.5 ounce size) diced tomatoes with Italian herbs, undrained
2 tablespoons capers
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
directions
Heat oil in medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove steak to platter, reserving any drippings in skillet.
Add onion, garlic and pine nuts to skillet. Saute for 5 minutes or until onion is tender and nuts are lightly toasted.
Add undrained tomatoes, capers, oregano, basil and red pepper flakes, then simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Serve over steak.
