What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!

1 pound boneless sirloin steak, about 1 inch thick
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
Place a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium high heat until hot. Add beef and cook 4 minutes. Turn and cook 4 minutes longer or until beef is done to your liking.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine remaining sauce ingredients. Stir to blend and set aside. When beef is done, place on cutting board and let stand. Add sauce mixture to pan residue in skillet.
Bring to a boil over medium high heat and cook 1-2 minutes, scraping bottom and sides of skillet. Thinly slice beef and spoon sauce over all.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

I cooked some thinly sliced onions with the steak and served all three components over a salad of romaine and chopped tomatoes with a drizzle of ranch dressing. It was delicious!

I modified the process just a bit and added some onions. First, I don't like to let my steak sit too long and get cold so I had two skillets going. In the first one I put some thinly sliced onions and a little olive oil and let them caramelize for about 15 minutes. Then, I fired up the second skillet and seared the steaks (I used four smaller steaks). While those were searing I put the sauce ingredients into the skillet with the onions and let it cook down a bit while the steak cooked. I serve the sauce alongside the steaks instead of slicing the meat first. The sauce really was good and I liked it on the steak.

This is a fabulous recipe! It's very quick and simple. It has wonderful flavor and it's a family favorite. I tweeked it a little by adding sliced onions one time (cooked until they were tender) then I also added mushrooms into the mix with the onions. All 3 versions were awesome! I would highly recommend!
