The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
2 pounds boneless sirloin steak
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
1/2 cup hot water
directions
In broiler pan, without the rack, arrange steak. Brush both sides of steak with soup mix combined with oil. Broil steak until desired doneness. Turn once.
Remove steak to serving platter. Add hot water to pan and stir, scraping brown bits from bottom of pan. Serve sauce over steak.
