The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
2 cups diced fresh nectarines
3/4 cup light or dark rum
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups finely crushed ice
directions
Thoroughly chill ingredients and blender jar. Place nectarines, rum, honey and lemon juice in blender jar and blend until smooth. Add ice and blend a few seconds, just until frappeed.
Serve at once in chilled glasses. Decorate with a thin candy stick, if desired.
