This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

under 30 minutes
ingredients
Peach Chutney
1 pound ripe peaches, peeled and chopped, or nectarines, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped peeled and seeded cucumber
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1 tablespoon finely snipped fresh mint
1 tablespoon tequila
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
**Ham
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons tequila
2 pounds cooked ham steaks, cut 1/2 to 1 inch thick (have the butcher slice a ham)
1/4 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
directions
For chutney, in a medium bowl, combine peaches, cucumber, orange juice, red onion, mint, tequila, salt and pepper. Set aside.
For ham marinade, in a shallow glass dish, combine orange juice and tequila. Set aside 1/4 cup of the orange juice mixture to serve with the ham.
Add ham steaks to the remaining marinade in dish. Marinate at room temperature for 10 minutes, turning once. Remove ham; reserve marinade.
For a charcoal grill, grill ham on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium-hot coals about 8 minutes or until heated through (140 degrees F), turning and brushing once with the reserved marinade halfway through grilling. (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium-high. Place ham on grill rack over heat. Cover; grill as above.) Discard any remaining marinade.
Cut ham into serving sized pieces. Pour the reserved orange juice mixture over top of ham. Serve with chutney.

Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
