Ham Steak With Pears

ingredients
1 pound ham steaks
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 can (16 ounce size) pear halves in juice, drained, juice reserved and halves sliced
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
directions
Saute ham in oil in skillet. 5 minutes each side until browned. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
Puree half of pear slices in processor or blender. Add to skillet with pear juice and ginger. Gently boil, stirring, 5 minutes. Add ham and remaining pear, and heat through. Add mint.
