ingredients
1 cup whole strawberries, halved
1 small navel orange, cut in half and sliced
1/2 cup sweet red vermouth
1/2 lemon, sliced
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup dry white wine (can use non-alcoholic if desired)
plain seltzer
directions
In 1-quart pitcher, combine strawberries, orange, vermouth, lemon and sugar, slightly crushing fruit with back of mixing spoon. Stir in wine; refrigerate, covered, until chilled.
Just before serving, fill individual wine glasses with ice. Pour wine mixture into glasses, dividing liquid and fruit evenly; add enough seltzer to fill glasses.
