I'm still putting together the ingredients and am not sure what to do with the shortenig, do I add it to the dry ingredients(do I cut it into the dry)or do I add the melted shortening to the liquid ingredients??? I hope it turns out its so easy and quick to make I'll put in my rating when I'm done..= thank you

Fantastic recipe! Everyone I make it for loves it, and the bread goes fast! I just found out this weekend that it also tastes fabulous toasted with butter as well, but you can eat it without butter because it always turns out nice and moist. I usually half the topping recipe, but that's my personal choice. Love how this bread tastes and how easy it is to make!!

It's in the oven now, but the batter was yummy! The recipe forgot to mention to mix the shortening with the vanilla, etc. Also, I doubled the cinnamon for the batter. EASY, EASY, EASY! Thank you! :)...PS: Go Steelers!!! Hopefully Super Bowl Champs on 2/1/09!!!

Awesome recipe. It was gone in one day. I had to hide the last piece for myself.
