The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Breadsticks made from frozen bread dough are a great way to have fresh-tasting breadsticks without having to go through the hassle of making them from scratch

8 frozen dinner roll dough
olive oil
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Coat rolls lightly with oil and thaw at room temperature according to package directions. Let stand until dough is no longer chilled.
Pinch each roll into 4 pieces. Flatten each piece of dough to make a strip about 1/2-inch wide and 6 inches long. Let rest for 15 minutes.
Lightly coat tops of strips with olive oil. Sprinkle lightly with Parmesan cheese. Twist the strips in tight spirals, Parmesan side in, and place on lightly greased baking sheets. Spray with olive-oil spray. Bake at 400 degrees F degrees for 10 minutes, or until golden.
A Sweet Variation: Brush strips of dough with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar before twisting.

I've been making this for years. I don't always use the cheese, sometimes I just sprinkle the dough with herbs and a little salt. Dried herbs actually work best.
