A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

ingredients
3/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons chicken fat (schmaltz), or butter may be substituted
2 cups flour (or more)
3 quarts chicken broth
directions
Mix all together until sticky but not so sticky that you can't roll it out. Flour your surface well and roll the dough very thinly. With a sharp paring knife, pastry cutter or pizza cutter, cut in 1" squares.
Drop one by one in the boiling chicken broth until dough has all been used. Stir frequently, then cover. Simmer about 3 or 4 minutes longer.
Turn heat off and let set to absorb the flavor of the broth.
