1 box (18.25 ounce size) yellow cake mix
1 package (3 ounce size) vanilla pudding mix
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup water
1 carton (8 ounce size) sour cream
4 eggs
1 package (16 ounce size) chocolate chips
1 bar German chocolate, grated
directions
Mix first 6 ingredients well. Add chocolate chips and chocolate bar. Pour into a greased Bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-55 minutes or 300 degrees F for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.

Yummy and easy. This is the recipe that I grew up with and was one of the first cakes that I baked as a child. One thing that I add is 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts and it gives it that little bit extra! Family and friends ask for this all the time and I baked it for a cake sale and the highest bidder was $50 - not too bad for a school bake sale.

This is different than other versions of "better than sex cake" that I've tried. It was good and had nice texture and flavor but really it's just an enhanced cake mix recipe. The other versions were rich and decadent, this is just a good cake.

I was so happy to find this recipe bc I couldn't find the one my mom gave me years ago. This cake is so awesome! And maybe even really better than sex sometimes! :>)

I made this cake for a birthday at work. Everyone loved it. I didn't have the german chocolate bar and it still turned out super yummy. I drizzled melted white icing on the top of the bundt cake and it looked so perfect. I'm going to make it again today for my own birthday with the chocolate bar. Best cake I have ever had by far!

i found this recipe years ago - glad to see it on the internet. I had made it for a July 4 party - everyone went nuts over it. They all wanted the recipe. I am planning on making it again for this year.

I made this for a girls get-together last night (about 12 ladies). Rave reviews from all - at least 3 asked me for the recipe. I brought a couple pieces home for my husband, and it is now his new favorite cake. I had to use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla and dark chocolate instead of German, but I still think it was a delicious, incredibly moist and addictive cake. Thanks for this great recipe!
