ingredients

4 pounds chicken wings, cut into sections, tips discarded
3 tablespoons cooking oil
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
2/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sour cream
1 cup crumbled blue cheese
2 green onions, chopped
5 teaspoons white vinegar, divided
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
8 ribs celery, cut into sticks

directions

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Combine the oil, garlic, cayenne, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of the salt in a large bowl. Mix well. Add the chicken wings, turning to coat them in the seasoned oil mixture. Transfer the wings to rimmed baking sheets, spreading the wings out so they are in a single layer.

Place the baking sheets in the oven and bake at 425 degrees F for 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, blue cheese, green onions, 1 teaspoon of the vinegar, the remaining salt, and the black pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.

Combine the ketchup, remaining vinegar, and Tabasco in a large bowl. Add the cooked wings and stir well to coat them in the buffalo sauce.

Transfer the wings to a serving platter. Serve the wings with the blue cheese sauce and celery sticks.

  1. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

Was easy to make, tasted fantastic however, the oven was a mess afterwards - took some time to clean up.

  2. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

Tasted fantastic! Not hard to do either. It's a little messy in the oven since it is baked on cookie sheets.
