Made with torn pieces of French bread, plump raisins, and a creamy custard mixture of eggs, milk, and warm spices, this dessert is both easy to make and absolutely delicious.

1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup raisins
6 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 can evaporated milk
2 cups homogenized milk
1 stick butter
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Tear French bread into small pieces. Place into a large baking pan.
Combine evaporated milk, homogenized milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat with a wire whisk.
Pour over French bread, sprinkle raisins over mixture. Melt butter. Pour over top.
Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for 45 minutes or until pudding is set and lightly browned on top.
NOTE: Apples, coconut or pineapple may also be added.

This is a great recipe but it is missing the blueberry sauce that goes w/it after baking.
You can add whatever sauce you like to customize it to your tastes!
