ingredients
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can (6 ounce size) tomato paste
1 can (2 ounce size) undrained mushroom stems and pieces
1 1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
10 canned refrigerator biscuits
1 tomato
1 cup shredded Mozzarella or Cracker Barrel cheese
directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Brown ground beef with chopped onion; drain. Stir in tomato paste, undrained mushroom stems and pieces, oregano, salt, pepper; simmer.
Press biscuits into greased 9" pie pan to form crust. Spoon meat mixture into crust. Slice tomato; arrange atop pie; sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes, until golden-brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Refrigerate any leftovers.
