Classic BLT Dip

ingredients
1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup plum tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, optional
lettuce leaves
crackers
minced fresh parsley, if desired
directions
Reserve 1 tsp of bacon for garnish if desired.
Combine remaining bacon, sour cream, mayonnaise, plum tomatoes, and cheese (if using) in medium bowl, stirring until blended. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour to blend flavors. (May be prepared up to 3 hours in advance.)
To serve, spoon into small bowl or hollowed out tomato. Place on lettuce leaves on serving plate surrounded by crackers. Sprinkle reserved bacon and parsley over dip.

I made this for a thanksgiving get together, and it was a big hit. I ended up having to make it 3-4 more times for each holiday party after that. Extremely easy to make, and is very good. I added a little chopped basil to give it that "L" look in a "BLT".

If you Like BLT Sandwiches you will absolutely flip for this recipe! It is Outrageous I can't say enough about this recipe it is soooo good.
Different and good. I used bacon bites and the smokey flavor was excellent. Easy too.
