ingredients
4 cups walnuts
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
Toast walnuts on cookie sheet for about 15 minutes in a 350 degrees F oven. Remove when toasted well.
In a very large saucepan, add the sugar, cinnamon, water and salt and cook until it reaches the soft ball stage (240 degrees F). Add the vanilla and toasted walnuts. Stir until well coated and mixture looks creamy.
Spread on cookie sheet. Separate as they cool.
