Slow Cooker Cajun Pecans

ingredients
1 pound pecan halves
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
directions
Preheat the crock pot on HIGH heat with the cover on.
Combine all the ingredients in the hot crock pot and mix well. Cook, covered, for 15 minutes on high.
Reduce the heat to low and cook, uncovered, for 90 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes.
Remove the nuts to a baking sheet and let cool completely. When cool, store in an airtight container for up to 10 days.

I skip the onion salt and use garlic salt instead of garlic powder. We love this as a snack.

I use this same recipe with other nuts too and it always turns out good. Last time I did a combo of pecans, walnuts, and cashews!
