The Ponderosa Steakhouse (and sister restaurant, Bonanza) has been known for their steaks and extensive buffets since the 1960's. Their steak sauce adds the signature slightly sweet, slightly tangy flavor to your favorite cuts of steak.

I've made this several times and it is very close to the steakhouse sauce. I prefer to substitute Maple Syrup for the corn Syrup.

The 1 star review must be spam because this is the BEST steak sauce. It's not too runny or too spicy (it's not spicy at all).

Better than any steak sauce you can buy!

I omit the corn syrup because most of the other ingredients already have it and I don't feel this needs more sweetness. It's a good sauce, don't have any idea what Ponderosa's sauce is like as I've never even seen one of those restaurants, but it's a good all purpose steak sauce.

This sauce is not quite like the sauce from Ponderosa but it is amazingly easy to make and takes delicious. My roommates and I love the sauce and will never use another sauce with steaks, burgers, and it even goes well with Shrimp!!!

EXCELLENT STEAK Sauce! This recipe is GREAT! It does not overwhelm the flavor of the beef.

I use 2-3 times the amount of light corn syrup when I make this recipe. It is delicious. My son-in-law (a fantastic cook) tells me it is the best steak sauce he's ever had. I keep a bottle in my refrigerator and when his bottle is empty I make more and send his bottle back full.

Too runny and too spicy it does not taste anything like the sauce.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
