It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
Slow Cooker Curried Chicken and Rice
- add review
- #63031
ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco Sauce to taste
3 tablespoons creole seasoning
2 tablespoons basil
3 tablespoons curry powder
1/2 cup butter
32 ounces chicken broth
1 package herb flavored rice mix (with seasoning packet)
directions
Place the chicken pieces in the bottom of the crock pot. Sprinkle with the Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, creole seasoning, basil, and curry powder. Drizzle the butter over all. Add the chicken broth, pouring it around the edges so as not to wash the seasonings off the chicken.
Cover the crock pot and cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
Add the rice mix and seasoning packet. Reduce the crock pot to LOW and cook for one more hour or until the chicken is cooked and the rice is done.
You can also cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces before cooking. Reduce initial cooking time to one hour on high.
