- #81453
under 30 minutes
ingredients
6 slices (1/2" thick size) fully cooked ham
4 cups hot cooked rice
4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sliced green onions, with tops
2 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
directions
Preheat the broiler.
Place the ham on a rimmed baking sheet or broiler pan. Place under the broiler, about 2-inches from the heat, and cook for 3-4 minutes or until browned.
Meanwhile, combine the hot rice, cheese, green onions, parsley, and salt. Mix well.
Divide the rice mixture between individual serving dishes. When the ham is cooked, place the slices on top of the rice. Serve immediately.

Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
