This is the potato recipe I've searched for everywhere! It has the perfect amount of spice--it's rich and creamy and better than any restaurant soup I've tasted. A couple of tweaks I made: I added about 50-75% more water and cut up the bacon in smaller pieces.

I made this dish in a low fat version. Fat free~ bacon bits, cream soups, sourcream and milk. It still tasted delicious!

We really enjoyed this soup, though we did cut up the bacon into very small pieces too. Additionally we also added celery and carrots to add some additional flavors, colors, and textures

I usually make vegetable soups, This time I decided to try something new. So I tried making the bacon potato chowder soup and it was delisious. I decided it was the soup that i was going to take to a party last fall, and everyone loved it. Needless to say there wasn't any soup left in my crock pot. Also I added ham in with the bacon WOW!!!!!!

LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this soup all around. Everyone asks for the recipe. I've made this soup for parties of 6 to 36. I cut back on the bacon and add celery, carrots and ham or sub the ham for the bacon. I don't care for a thick soup so add more milk for a soup consistency! ENJOY!!:)

WOW...It is wonderful....had 2 bowls ...wish I could of eaten more....the sour cream really finishes it off....was worth the walk in the snow storm to get the sour cream...what a way to warm up after my walk....

this soup is the greatest soup ever ... so worth going out when its -5 outside to get the stuff that i didnt have. I added half cup of cheeze and a little to the top and let melt.

This is awesome will be a family favorite for sure. I did add a few things too. I used velveta cheese melted in with the milk and I used turkey bacon instead of pork. Yum Yum. Cut back a bit on the milk too as we like creamier soups! Toped it off with in dishes with a dolop of sour cream and a few chives.

This is a great comfort food. I have made it several times now. My family absolutley love it! Perfect for a cold fall/winter meal. I use the recipe how it is and I wouldn't change a thing.I will be cooking this up for years to come. Thanks
