1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons hot water
1 tablespoon imitation butter flavor or oil-based flavoring
food coloring as desired
1 pound powdered sugar
In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, hot water, flavoring, and food color. While stirring, add the powdered sugar and mix well until it forms a dough.
Roll out the dough into ropes and cut into 1/2-inch mints. Or, press into molds.
When the mints have hardened, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
