ingredients
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon extract (any flavor)
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
food coloring as desired
directions
Cream the cheese. Add 1 cup of the powdered sugar, extract, and coloring. Continue to add sugar until mixture is stiff enough to knead. Knead in any remaining sugar. Roll in balls the size of a large marble. Place on cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Stamp with cookie stamp or bottom of a decorative glass.
Refrigerate to set; refrigerate leftovers. For a chocolate candy, add 3 teaspoons cocoa to the recipe with either vanilla or peppermint flavoring and use no food coloring.
