The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

2 cups cold orange juice
4 scoops orange sherbet
chilled ginger ale
directions
Pour about 1/2 cup orange juice into each of individual tall serving glass. Add a scoop of orange sherbet to each glass. Fill glasses with ginger ale. Stir slightly to blend.
