The perfect combination of sweet, rich chocolate, and buttery nuts makes for a heavenly cookie that is sure to please any sweet tooth.
2 1/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Grease 2 large baking sheets and set aside.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix gently to combine.
Place the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat on high speed with a mixer until the butter is light and fluffy.
With the mixer running, add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add the vanilla and mix for 1 minute.
With the mixer on low speed, add the flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time, letting it incorporate before adding the next amount.
With a spoon, stir in the chocolate and macadamia nuts until just combined.
Scoop out dough in 2 tablespoon sized balls and roll into a smooth ball. Place 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Flatten the balls slightly with the bottom of a floured glass or spatula.
Place in the oven and bake at 300 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned. If baking both sheets at once, rotate them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even baking.
Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Then remove the cookies to racks to cool completely.
Store the cookies in an airtight container.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
