A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

Skip the boxed mix because it's so easy for your kids to make cookies in the Easy-Bake oven by Hasbro using this homemade chocolate chip cookie recipe.

1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons butter or margarine, softened
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon water
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat the Easy-Bake Oven as recommended by Hasbro. Grease and flour the provided baking sheet or cake pan (or line with parchment paper).
Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter in a bowl. Mix until combined.
Add the baking soda, vanilla, water, and flour to the bowl and mix until uniform in color.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Form the dough into 1/2-inch balls using your fingers. Place a few of the dough balls on the prepared pan, leaving space between them.
Place the cookie dough in the Easy-Bake Oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until done. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Let the cookies cool slightly before eating. Store the completely cooled cookies in an airtight container.

Use a small spoon or melon baller to form consistent cookie dough balls.
Make sure to space the cookies apart on the baking sheet as they will spread a bit while baking.
For a fun variation, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a few drops of almond extract to the dough.
If the dough is too sticky, chilling it in the refrigerator for a few minutes can make it easier to handle.
For a softer cookie, bake for the minimum time. For a crisper cookie, bake a little longer.
Always supervise young children, especially when they are putting in and taking out the tray from the Easy-Bake Oven.
Yes, you can double the recipe. Just bake in batches to fit the Easy-Bake Oven's size.
Yes, you can add finely chopped nuts. Just make sure they're chopped finely enough to distribute evenly in the cookie dough.
Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
You can use milk, dark, or white chocolate chips, or even mini M&M's for variety.

This is the first recipe we made for the easy bake oven that actually was good (adult standards)! Our oven only has a round pan, so we made one big cookie and baked for 20 minutes.

great recipe thanks
baking soda or baking powder?
This recipe didn't specify how what the oven temperature is. So assuming it could be 375 degrees F. And also, how can one make 12 cookies, by using ONLY 3 tablespoons of flour. One must assume it is for 3 cups of flour.
This is for the EASY BAKE oven (for kids), not a regular oven.
