ingredients

2 slices white bread
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 ripe banana, mashed with fork
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

directions

Spread one side of each slice of bread with the peanut butter. Spread the mashed banana over the peanut butter. Press the bread together to form a sandwich with the peanut butter and banana in the middle.

Spread half the butter on the outer sides of the bread.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the remaining butter to the skillet. Tip the skillet to spread the melted butter evenly on the bottom.

Add the sandwich and cook, turning once to brown on both sides.

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half then serve immediately.
