The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Tuna salad or tuna sandwich? The choice is yours. This blend of tuna, celery, and onion with hot sauce and blue cheese is great on toasted sourdough but works well as a salad or lettuce wrap, too.
1 can (6 ounce size) solid white albacore tuna, well drained
1/4 cup thinly sliced celery or pickles
1 tablespoon finely chopped onions
1/4 cup blue cheese salad dressing
3 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons soft butter
4 slices toasted sourdough bread or white bread
Combine the tuna, celery or pickles, onion, blue cheese dressing, and 2 tablespoons of the hot sauce in a bowl and mix well.
Combine the soft butter and remaining hot sauce. Spread the spicy butter on one side of each piece of toast.
Place half of the toast slices buttered side up on a plate or work surface. Divide the tuna mixture between the toast slices. Top with the remaining pieces of toast, buttered side down.
Serve the tuna sandwiches immediately.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

This is great! I have made it twice recently. One time I used apple instead of celery because I was out. I like it both ways! I used Franks's for the hot sauce. Great to dress up tuna!
