The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
5 vidalia onions, chopped
2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1 can (12 ounce size) evaporated milk
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon salt
directions
Saute the onions in butter in a skillet until soft. Place onions and breadcrumbs in a large bowl.
Stir in milk, eggs, 1 cup of the cheese and salt. Pour into a greased 2 qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 c. cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.
