Not quite as dry as the gin martini that James Bond enjoys. This version is made with a combination of dry and sweet vermouth to balance out the flavor a bit.

1 1/2 ounce gin
1/2 ounce dry vermouth
1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
1/2 cup ice cubes
lemon twist or green olive (optional)
Combine the gin, both kinds of vermouth, and ice in a mixing glass or shaker. Shake or stir then strain into a martini glass.
Serve with a lemon twist or olive, if desired.
