Very Merry Christmas Cookies Recipe

Serves/Makes: 60
Ingredients:
1/3 cup vegetable shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
2/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon lemon extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, egg, honey, and extract thoroughly. Stir together flour, soda, salt; blend well. Chill dough.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes.
Place 1 inch apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until no imprint remains when touched lightly.
When cool, ice and decorate as desired.
