ingredients

1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
4 cups hot brewed coffee
whipped cream
maraschino cherries
chocolate syrup

directions

Place 1 tablespoon cherry juice and 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup in the bottom of each coffee mug.

Slowly pour in the hot coffee while stirring.

Top each mug with whipped cream, a cherry, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Serve immediately.

recipe tips

Use high-quality coffee for the best flavor.

Warm your mugs before adding the ingredients to keep the coffee hot longer.

For an adult version, consider adding a splash of cherry liqueur or chocolate liqueur.

To make a frothy top without whipped cream, lightly froth some milk and spoon it over the coffee.

Drizzle the chocolate syrup in a swirling motion for a pretty presentation.

Serve immediately to enjoy the hot coffee with cool whipped cream.

For a stronger cherry flavor, garnish with additional cherry juice or chopped maraschino cherries.

Decadent!! The cherry juice is a nice touch. I'm not a big coffee drinker so when I drink it I usually have to dress it up a lot. Might also try this with kirsch :)

This coffee is practically a dessert! The maraschino cherry juice is a nice touch mixed in with the coffee.
