You don't need a long list of unpronounceable chemicals to get your yard in tip-top shape. This home remedy of vinegar, salt and regular dish soap kills weeds just as effectively, without all the nasty stuff.

1 gallon white vinegar
1 cup table salt
1 tablespoon liquid dish soap
Combine all the ingredients in a spray bottle. Mix until the salt dissolves.
To use, spray on weeds taking care not to spray it on plants or grass that you don't want to kill. Spray on sidewalk seams to prevent weeds.
