Want soft, manageable, frizz-free hair? Try this simple conditioning blend. Bay rum is believed to help with hair growth and the three types of oils add moisture to dry or damaged hair. If you have long or very thick hair you'll want to double the recipe. This can be made ahead of time and stored at room temperature. Look for bay rum at drugstores or beauty supply stores.
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon castor oil
1 tablespoon clear bay rum
Combine the olive oil, coconut oil and castor oil in a small, heatproof bowl.
Place the bowl in a larger bowl of hot water, making sure that no water gets into the bowl with the oil. Let the mixture heat, stirring it occasionally until the coconut oil is melted and the mixture is blended.
Stir in the bay rum.
While the mixture is still warm, apply it to your hair starting at the scalp and working it through to the ends. Comb through the hair to make sure the oils are evenly distributed. Alternately, you can target problem areas specifically instead of working the oil through all the hair.
Leave the mixture on your hair overnight (wrap in a towel to make sure you don't get oil on your pillow) or for a minimum of 1 hour.
Shampoo out and style as usual.
Use this mixture once a week to maintain soft, moisturized hair.
Do not heat the oils in the microwave.

I had to triple the amounts to get it through my hair but I have a lot of very dry hair so I think it just soaked up more than it would otherwise. My hair was quite soft after using it. I am going to use it twice a week then scale back to once a week.
