ingredients
1 cup cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon nutmeg
3/4 cup applesauce
2 tablespoons white glue
directions
Combine cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add applesauce and glue. Stir to combine. Work mixture with hands for 2 to 3 minutes. Divide into equal parts. Roll each part to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes (gingerbread men, snowmen, stars, wreaths, etc). Use a straw or toothpick to make a hole for a string or ribbon to hang ornament.
Dry for 24 hours. Turn and dry for 24 hours on other side. Decorate with fabric paints.
Note: The scent will last for years if stored in waxed paper in an airtight plastic bag away from sunlight and in a cool, dry place.
